ARCA's Busy 'Spring Season' Includes 2-Day Test at Talladega Tues, Wed; Live Timing & Scoring

TALLADEGA AL (3-22-10) - As the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards prepares for a very busy month of April, its immediate focus will be on Talladega Superspeedway where it's currently setting up for a two-day open test Tuesday and Wednesday, March 23 & 24.

Currently, 25 drivers are signed up for the open test, designed to help teams prepare for the upcoming 250-mile ARCA race at Talladega on April 23.

On-track activity for the Talladega open test, which features Live Timing & Scoring at ARCAracing.com, is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time each day with an hour break for lunch.

The open test launches a particularly busy ‘spring season' for the ARCA Racing Series during which the tour will compete in consecutive events at the Salem Speedway short-track Sunday, April 11, the Texas Motor Speedway Friday, April 16, followed by the event at Talladega one week later. All this follows on the heels of the recent open test at Texas.

In addition, several ARCA teams are hoping to make the trip to Salem for testing prior to the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by ApplianceZone.com on the southern Indiana half-mile, high-banked oval. However, testing at Salem is contingent upon the progression of major facility renovations currently underway.

The ARCA 250 at Talladega (April 23), LIVE on SPEED at 5:00 PM ET, will be the 49^th ARCA event at Talladega since the series' debut there in 1969.
