(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 16, 2010) - ARCA President Ron Drager spoke last weekend with longtime motorsports voice Larry Henry. Yesterday, the interview appeared on Henry's weekly radio show, Pit Pass USA, on the VoiceAmericaTM Talk Radio Network's Power Up Motorsports Channel.
Drager spoke briefly about the prominence of first-time winners in the ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and Menards. In eight races in 2010, six drivers have won for the first time.
"It's gratifying to see a young driver get their first victory in a major tour or on a major facility," Drager said. "It means so much to them, and this series has always been very much about that. It's a place where people come to learn the sport, to learn superspeedway-type racing, and professional tour-type racing, so to see those young drivers come through and experience their first success is pretty gratifying."
