MONACO − Chief technical officer Adrian Newey is hoping Red Bull can make the most of its pace advantage over Formula One title rivals McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes after a “frustrating'' start to the season.

Red Bull has started on pole in each of the season's five races but reliability problems have kept it from exploiting its better speed.

Newey says making the most of the Red Bull's raw pace advantage over its “very well-resourced'' rivals is the Austrian team's challenge now.

It is third in the drivers' and constructors' standings going into Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix. McLaren leads both ahead of Ferrari.

Newey says the most tense moment of a race to be ``the last few laps, invariably. We've lost a few races on the last lap now.''
