KANSAS CITY, Kan. −John Andretti teamed with a racing legend a year ago, racing at the Indianapolis 500 for Richard Petty.

Now he's doing it again, this time with another big name: his cousin, Michael.

A veteran stock car driver, Andretti enters the May 30 race as the most experienced in the field, with 10 previous starts and a best finish of fifth in 1991. Andretti finished 19th at last year's Indy 500, driving for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.

This year, he'll drive a fifth car for Andretti Autosport, joining Danica Patrick, Tony Kanaan, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Michael's son, Marco.

Unlike last year, Andretti will try to work out the kinks ahead of time, racing at Kansas Speedway this weekend.
