AMS Observes Labor Day Holiday - Next Event: Fri, September 10th

Anderson – The Anderson Motor Speedway will not be racing this Friday night.  It has become tradition at the track to take a break from the weekly racing action during the Labor Day holiday to allow drivers, fans and staffers the opportunity to get in that last vacation with their families before Fall.

Hickory Motor Speedway to Host the 34th Annual Bad Boy Mowers Bobby Isaac Memorial on Labor Day

(August 29, 2010 -- Newton, NC) Hickory Motor Speedway will host the 34th Annual Bad Boy Mowers Bobby Isaac Memorial 200 on Monday, September 6, 2010.  The inaugural event took place in 1977 to honor the late NASCAR Grand National Champion, Bobby Isaac.

Doggett Comes Close on the Dirt of Virginia Motor Speedway

Mooresville, N.C. (August 30, 2010)- Apparently Activ8 Development driver Taylor Doggett does not mind getting down and dirty on the track. Case in point: Doggett's final dirt race of the 2010 season with the Truckin Thunder Sportsman division at Virginia Motor Speedway, in which he nearly claimed a victory, finishing second.

The NASCAR Whelen All-American Series gets a Final Weekend Off at Hickory Motor Speedway

(Newton, NC – September 1, 2010) After bringing home his sixth win of the 2010 season, the No. 88 of Kyle Mansch closed in on reigning Track Champion and current points leader, the No. 10 of Andy Mercer.  Mansch’s win brings the spread between him and Mercer to a mere 22 point difference.  The No. 5 of Dexter Canipe Jr. continues to trail behind in the third place position, 60 points out of the lead.
