Radford, VA - The #19 Brad Keselowski Racing Checkered Flag Foundation Dodge of Nate Caruth earned a strong 6th place finish for the PASS South Motor Mile 150. Caruth said, “We had a good weekend. The car practiced, and unloaded well. The team did a great job.” Caruth continued, “The race went ok. We started 8th, and finished 6th. We had a 3rd place car, but held onto a 6th place finish after losing our breaks mid-race. Overall it was a good weekend.”
Motor Mile Speedway was plagued with rain showers throughout the weekend, as Saturday’s qualifying session was cancelled. The field was lined up based on current points standings; putting Caruth in 8th. The 14 car field ran a smooth, clean race of 150 laps. Fans were treated with over 100 green flag laps before the first caution was thrown.
This marks Caruth’s first visit to Motor Mile Speedway. The 60 year old track has a rich history in racing and proved to be a favorite for Caruth, “This is a great track, I look forward to come back and improve upon our 6th place finish.”
Team manager Gary Crooks reflects on Nate’s strong run, “Nate did a great job this weekend. I am proud of how well he is doing this season, and look forward to the next race.”
Crew chief Seth Hollbrook added, “We have come a long way this season. I am very proud of my driver, and crew members for the strong team effort that has gone into the full circle success of the #19 team.”
