SOUTHERN SHUNEH, Jordan (AP)  Defending world champion Sebastien Loeb of France has taken the lead of Jordan Rally after two days.

Loeb won four of Friday's six stages in the third round of the FIA World Rally Championship to take a commanding 24.6-second advantage into the final day.

The Citroen driver finished the second day in 2 hours 41 minutes 6.7 seconds.

``I am quite happy with my performance today but I knew that I needed at least a lead of 30 seconds to take into the last day,'' Loeb said. ``I tried to push really hard and I don't know if I could have done any better than that.''

Citroen Junior Team driver Sebastien Ogier of France was second and Ford's Jari-Matti Latvala of Finland was third.
